Engine oil replacement

Replaced engine oil and filter 3 months ago after picking up disco 3 05 reg and after changing the oil it still was black in colour. Picked new oil and filter from land rover and just wondering if it needs changing again. Plus front parking sensor has stopped working but rear one are ok. Any ideas on this topic.

Diesel engine soot, its normal, both my D3's have been the same. Black oil within a couple of hundred miles of service. Don't worry about it.

On the other hand, race engine in the mini keeps the oil really clean for the 1000 miles it does between changes Rolling Eyes "To finish first, one first has to finish ...."
