engine running and doors locked/boot open
anyone know how to run the engine and then lock the doors ??Duncan

Never tried it, but as its keyless, cant you start the car, then get out with the key and use it to lock the car?
I know it doesn't cause the car to stop if you walk away with the key, you just get the error message saying "No Smart Key" until you get back into the car

no, if you try and lock it when engine running it just does the beeping thing..Duncan

Isn't it actually an offence to leave the engine running? I guess that's why it works these it does??

Run engine, open drivers elec window fully, get out and close door, reach in and press 'lock' button on drivers door then flick one-shot window close switch 2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto

But check that the spare key opens the car before closing window

nope , doesn't work.
if the engine is running and car locked with window down, the remote doesn't open the doors - just beep.
