On way home tonight doing about 80mph on motorway slowed down and came off motorway and the car would not go over 50mph and the display reads engine system fault
Limped car home and rang landrover who are coming out in the morning
Switch off engine and restarted and fault has gone but i have not taken it out agian to tray it.
Any body know what the fault it is

Possibly a faulty injector or EGR valve failure/fault!
LR assist should either sort it or provide you with a loaner whilst yours is at the dealers being fixed I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

With Mikey on that, you got the "i" did'nt you
I had this on New Years Eve, TURBO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lets hope you have warrenty, as they are hard to come by at the moment, although not as hard as when I needed one. Its a long job, and expensive. The bolts are normally a sod to get at, let alone get undone. LR recommends the chassis to be seperated from body for this, mine was, but others have'nt. Depends on where you go to as they all have learnt their own ways.
I do hope its not though, but nethertheless get it booked in for investigation soonest, it wont bode well if its the turbo and you still drive it.

We brought our fisrt D3 in feb this year, when we were on a fastish bit of road had the waring come up engine managment system fault, thought this is good only had it a week and already got prob's ok its not new (05/55 done 34,000) but still not what you expect!!! stoped and turned off, fault gone! untill last sat going down M11 it did it 3 times in half an hour went in for service this week they cleared the faults and said wait and see what happens, so if it is turbo or egr then i better make sure they sort it before warrenty run's out i guess!
