It ain't subtle ! you will know about it. Like fingernails down a blackboard.

If you do get a screamer, stop using the park brake, or it will knacker the epb unit. At the first sign of a screamer, either clean and adjust it yourself, or get it done.

When mine started screaming I just stopped using it, 4 months later I tried it out of curiosity and it works as quiet as a mouse, so it seems to have cleaned itself and is working normally. However I still don't bother to use it and stick it in park (on an Auto).

Red handbrake light flashing all the time, hand brake doesn't apply but makes noises (similar noises to when working OK) when attempting to apply/release EPB however no screeching, did originally.

Local dealer plugged in machine to say ' Eh the emergency release has been pulled ( which it hadn't) probably needs a module .........a b'trd to fit' This is an actual quote!

Any clues?? is it a clean and adjust or a new module?

also anybody got the techfitting instructions for module?

Cheers Big Cry

John
