I'm sure its been done to death and in truth I'm being lazy not searching,but the dreaded light has just come on.
I was disengaging the EPB as normal on a level surface.
Any anecdotal evidence on most likely/probable cause please ? "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool,than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...
Locking rear E-diff
RLD spare wheel protector & sump guard
Extended roof rails
Series 111 mudflaps
Black side tubes,grill and vents
Timed climate remote
Hids4u interior lights
D4 Firenze my2012 HSE
D3 Java 2005 SE manual (sold,sadly,thanks for the memories)
1966 '88 Series 2a....still starts in the morning better than I do...

Does the dash display still show what gear your in ?
do the reversing lights / rear PDC still work ? G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

All of the above are working fine and wife reports that the amber warning light has gone out and EPB seems to be working fine......do I breathe a sigh of relief that it was just an "electonic glitch" or is there a good chance it was precursor to the dreaded screaming or locking on ? "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool,than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...
