Still being a very recent D3 owner - and doesn't my credit card just show it! - I've had conflicting advice about use of the EPB.
1. Don't touch it. Ever.
2. Use it or it causes trouble in various flavours.
The two appear to contradict each other, so either one of them is wrong or the truth is somehere in the middle. In which case, what constitutes sufficient use to keep it from causing trouble?

Use it all the time as much as possible, but keep it adjusted and lubricated. Stop using lube and adjust if it starts making noises!

I use it every time I park.
Annual maintenance is recommended, usually.

Thank you for linking me back to the much earlier question. Using it as much as possible seems to be the way to go.

I believe it does, albeit a modified version. I agree with the other opinions too and use it almost all the time in my manual D3, with occasionally opting for 1st gear on level ground at home only!

I use it all the time, its only been checked when I changed the rear discs. Its like all electrically driven parts, needs to be used. I select low range every so often and adjust the mirrors to make sure they still move. May be tempting fate but OK so far
