I have a question regarding the rear EPB. A very strange one, but having read lots of posts on the subject of EPBs, this is a purely hypothetical question.
Unless, that is, it all goes very wrong next weekend.
If one is replacing the discs and pad on the rear (having backed off the EPB shoes manually) and the whole shoe assy fall in pile of rust on the floor, what happens if one bungs the new discs etc on anyway?
Does the car throw a flid, or is it a case of just not having a handbrake? (Assuming one does not try to use the EPB).

you might get away with it if you don't replace the fuse you will remove while doing the job and use in gear (manual) and park (automatic) to stop it running away and causing mayhem.

Nothing happens is my experience, I taped the switch, and used some wire to fasten the braking wire end one side. Fuse in place. Of course very temporary
