ERG Failure - 07 Model TDV6 SE
So.. 3 months in and I get my first visit from LRA. This morning as I rang TLO to thank him for my parts I noticed that the orange check engine light was on. Had a cup of tea and decided not to worry about it but this afternoon it was still on Also it drives like I had 4 flat tyres and the auto box would not change up properly etc. Rang up LRA and out they came. Both ERGs disconnected and now drives much better.. So I need to ring up on Monday to get them replaced. My question is what is the point of these things as it seems to drive as normal with them not connected. How long should it take.. cup of tea job or all day effort. It goes skiing to France on Friday so that is a worry... I assuming I should not drive it too far until it is repaired. 07 model
You will drink several cups of tea while they change them over . . . .
When Mine failed over Christmas / New Year 07/08 I could have flown to India and picked the tea leaves, flown home, stamped the perforations in the tea bags, collected the Evian from source and milked the cow and maybe even made the mug before land rover had stock
Good luck, if they've got stock - it's straightforward enough "To finish first, one first has to finish ...."

Andy ,
The EGR's are there purely for emissions
Did they blank off using 2p ?
Will be ok driving around blanked as many of us do but as under warranty best to get in asap so they don't have any excuse not to replace

Hi.. All he seemed to do was wiggle the connectors off.. No 2ps used..
Thanks for the reply. I will take it in but need to use it on Monday, regardless. Did not want to add to the issues.
Thanks for the help all.
