The important thing is car must be asleep when you do it. Takes several minutes to do that.

I think I did this because I changed the battery and it certainly took more than 120 seconds Smile

Done. Not sure how to test this other than driving it and seeing if the errors have gone..

Scanned it but no new faults yet.
However, when I switch on the ignition, the battery warning light stays on (never did before) and IID says the battery voltage is 12. Started and the alternator goes to 14.7.
Switch off the engine and the voltage on IID falls slowly to under 13. DIdn't do any of this before.
The voltage at the battery is 12.5 but from positive to the engine block it is 12.63 and from negative to the engine block it is 0.18. Doesn't seem right somehow

no new fault meaning all previous ones are gone and you can only see battery behavior now?

faulty battery or maybe check whether ground cable opposite side to battery low in engine bay is attached solid and has no "corrosion"

What you're measuring there is 'volt drop', both of which are less than 0.25v so not much to be concerned about.
However the battery warning light staying on could be a sign of an alternator problem, and potentially discharging battery overnight

All the previous ones are still in the ODB memory but there seem to be no new ones. I am checking for confirmed faults only. I'll check the earth cable

Were you able to clear the previous faults at all after reset?

opposite side to battery low in engine bay..

I have the workshop manual but it is a bit vageu on this. It shows a short ground cable from the battery to a pillar though I haven't actually found it yet.
When you say 'opposite side' do you mean the drivers side (since the battery is on the passenger side on my car - LHD)

If they don't come back don't worry.

Mine had about 70 faults which resulted from a low battery before my ownership. Cleared and never returned
