Exhaust rattle turns out to be flange studs sheared!


Or so it seems...

Any ideas? Guess its going to be an exhaust place.

Have the studs actually sheared, or is it just the nuts corroded away to nothing?

From what I can tell, yes.

The stud heads are still showing on one side of the flange, and the exposed thread of the bolts, with nut still intact, on the other.

All three appear to have sheared with the exhaust hangers holding everything in place!
