Extra's
Hello Everybody
Getting closer to the purchase and wondered if there were any 'essentials' that I should consider? I was thinking the door protectors and some side steps might be good but didn't know if there were any other extras (based on peoples experience) that made sense.
Thanks
Kieron

My SE has metallic and the dog guard (luggage divider). No need for many options as they have good spec as standard.

Only had mine a couple of weeks and I would agree that the SE has pretty much all that you may want. I guess the only extra I wish I had was an shares in an oil company, but it's still new and I can't stop driving it Fuji White, Auto with Surround Camera

Thanks for the advice everyone ... I just wanted to make sure there was no 'Oh and make sure you get those' or 'One thing I really wish I'd got' kinda of things. I'm selling my soul to be able to afford it and wanted to make sure I at least got it all right
SatNav (I love (yes I know not everyone likes it), Premium nav includes 4x4 info is a gadget but nice to have and means you get off-road nav too)
Side Protection Strips
Paint Protection
Xenons (brilliant)
Seat Covers
Mats (rubber ones if you intend on going off-road)
Winch
Nudgbar
Active Rear Diff
Some of this will be there anyway depending on what spec you get and depends on what you intend to use your D3 for of course! The End

make sure you get heavy duty package if you can. a real value if going off road. full spare as well with rear diff lock!
Ah I see, both options over here just not in a pack as far as I know, full size spare is still standard on HSE I think, was on all specs for 05MYThe End

Side steps are good, they are wide enough to stand on to get in and out of the Vehicle, and for reaching things on the roof (if you're tall enough).
They also act as very good side protection. Not just when off-roading but in car parks they stop folk hitting your door panels with their doors (especially if you raise your D3 to off-road height as you park). Coffeecup
