it's a gorgeous after noon, there is not a breath of wind, Want to go out in the boat for a spot of "throwing tackle away"

but OH NO, the f+ing harbour is closed for some "fish festival" and next week it's the gigs. then some other crap....

not much use a harbour you cant launch from, been hard enough all summer with the tourist blocking the slipway thinking it's some play thing....

aaarrrrgggghhhh

apologies to all you landlocked ones that either dont care or wish you were here but are stuck inland Embarassed

but when it's here, and you moved here for it, and you cant have it.. Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

and the boats called "peewee" for good reason. if someone so much as farts on the beach it's too rough for it.....hence the angst today when it's "dead calm" Shocked

Every sympathy - it used to send me hairless trying to get people to understand why parking on the slipway 'for the view' was not on.......

Mind you my mate did get his revenge one time by giving a guy fair warning as we came up (he'd parked to watch us recover the boat Exclamation ) and when no notice was taken promptly drove straight down his side.

The front bumper was ripped off by the side of the trailer - his face was a delight Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

Good score - fishing off the rocks is an excellent way to pass the day - beats working... Thumbs Up

We've even had the odd seal in the Mersey of late - you're right they're cheeky bu Censored ers but good to see.

there's getting to be alot of seals around here now, 2 new pups this year that i'm aware of right near the old lifeboat ramp..

they are cunning little beggars, they know the diference between a lure and the real thing,m just following the lure,,

anded up packing it in you're right as they're much better at it..
