Fan sensor fault code P0528

Need some help please I have a fault code P0528 fan sensor. The viscous fan makes a roaring noise all of the time. I didn’t know there was a problem until I bought a fault code reader. Having read some of the viscous fan threads on here I think there is. Any help/advice would be appreciated.
