If I talked to my local main dealer, is it something they should be able to do?

Or do I need to find a new friend with a MSV2?

A dealer could do it, but they have to charge for the privilege, and the cost is, frankly, extortionate. Shocked

Clubracer you certainly do need to find a new friend with a MV licensed MSV-2 or get an SV licenced one yourself Whistle

Does anyone know if you can upgrade a D3 Traction Response to the D4 Traction Response specification using the FaultMate MSV-2 or by another way or is it possible at all?

HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP

Ok, so I met up with another visiting forum member who has a faultmate to activate 4x4 info on my 09 TDV6 SE.
So now here is the status:

+: the 4x4 info is there and I got the rear light on follow me home

- : I cannot switch to low range, hdc not working, park break doesn't auto disengage (actually if park break on car won't start), pdc not working, no more gear display if in tiptronic, i cannot set the subwoofer volume (option has disappeared) etc... (i might have forgotten some)

Did anyone have the same problem? He's still in SA for a couple of weeks so we could meet to fix the problem...
Can anybody help please? Anybody in Cape Town that could set it back to the factory ecu settings? If I take it to LR will they be able to see that someone has fiddled with ECU (i.e. will they cancell my warranty?)

I'm in a pickle... please help

Hiya Matthieup

Activating 4x4 info is a daily occurance that hundreds have done before, So it obviously sounds like he has changed settings in the CCF he had no need to change for whatever reason.

I am assuming that he had enough common sense to use the save function to save your origional settings before changing them, so he can re set the CCF back to how it was and start again.
Why don't you simply contact him and get him back to sort it ?
If he has trouble or needs help then he needs to use the dedicated support forum where my technical staff will assist. He can also send us his HTML copies of the settings before and now if he needs.

A dealer won't actually know much about what the origional CCF settings should be for your vehicle, let alone have the ability to read them, but they can reset it back to factory settings using the as built data.

If you PM me your VIN i can pull this info up too.
