Hi,

If you want some constructive help it may be an option, to give more details….

Running als a auxiliary heater or parking heater? Outside temp? fuel level in tank? battery condition? engine on or off..?

It makes no sense to try anything if the fuel tank is NOT aleast half full or more..
Battery needs to be 12,4V or higher…
How old/mileage is this FBH?

Cleaning is overrated as “the” solution when issue, sure always worth a try, but expect also a worn glowplug after more than 10 years of use… Cool

But start with a healthy battery and enough fuel in the fueltank (40 liter or more)
 Best regards
Harold

Hi Thanks for your reply, some additional details would be useful, my apologies.

Disco 3 2008, 193kmiles, the heater is running as an auxiliary, the heater did work after overhaul removal at 5degC or below, fuel level 75%, new battery fitted October last year 13.1v and the engine was off during the simulation from my laptop. The heater was not working when I purchased the car October 2022 and I would imagine it had not worked for sometime.

I choose the parking heater option when I have it connected via diagnostic lead and laptop simulation. Can the FBH be used as a parking heater, how is this achieved?

I clearly see 11,6 Volts in your supplied images… ie when tested, that is deepcharge …

That is far too low for healthy running (both the FBH and the disco) (if it runs at all, there is a safety parameter around that figure)

@ 193 K mls expect the glowplug to be worn, quite normal TBH..

You can buy them in germany on german ebay seperate or @at the official route, only complete with a burner assembly

For use as a full parkingheater, try the search button above or the wiki, also above…
There is enough information allready written regarding that subject Cool
