I have had the remote kit fitted for the webasto FBH since june time and this has worked great and still does work press the button FBH fires up and runs for preset time. 
The FBH will not fire when engine started and below 5 degrees (battery ok and full tank of fuel) The burner starts and kicks out smoke for around 5 seconds then shuts down but if wait for car to sleep and press remote it fires perfectly. 
Have tried the fuse disconnection idea and even had the battery disconnected also checked fault codes and none present.
Any one got any ideas  ??????
