FBH - Timed Climate Help / Advise

Hi,

Apologies if this is a repeat post, I have looked for answers to the below and cannot find what I need!

I have recently activated my Timed Climate on my D4 MY10. On my previous car it was already activated and after setting the timer you could open the door and hear the fans blowing.

I have set the time to 0620 and been to the car at 0640 2 days running, no sign of fans blowing and no exhaust smoke from the FBH in the engine bay Big Cry , which on cold days last year you could see the smoke from the exhaust. I am not very clued up on these as I'm sure you've gathered.

Is there anything else I need to do? when I press the manual button instead of setting time the fans kick in. Is there set credentials before the car will start the FBH even if the time is set. eg temperatures?

Is there any tests I need to run to make sure all is in order, as its not minus numbers you cant see the FBH exhaust smoke yet.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Try the wiki page for fbh...

https://www.disco3.co.uk/wiki/Fuel_Burning_Heater

That should give you a good starting point and then a search on here and trawl the threads will provide a bit more info too. There's a 'how to' service guide that shows you how to remove and clean etc as they can get a bit bunged up.

It's on my list of stuff to do.

Hope it helps
