Car with no Nav means the one with base radio (small screen only)? Will the remote work after installing the parts and enabling in CCF for a D4 MY14 with base audio?2013 D4 TDV6 S; Baltic Blue; IID Tool BT

Thanks. just double checking. A friend has a D4 MY12 with big screen but no Nav (fbh works for him after this retrofit). I was not sure if for a small lcd version it is the same retrofit process.2013 D4 TDV6 S; Baltic Blue; IID Tool BT

Parts fitted, CCF modified (3 settings changed) and it works
I did not put the receiver in the slot as it is freezing -8°C and my hands were freezing very quickly-so I just connected both connectors and left it stuck between cables there. Will have to do it properly once I get into a garage. 2013 D4 TDV6 S; Baltic Blue; IID Tool BT

Does the factory fitted timed/remote FBH on the D4 allow the glowplugs to energise after it has ran on a cold morning prior to starting ?

The factory fitted remote certainly does, so you still get a smooth glowplug assisted start whilst enjoying a warm car.

Thanks Robbie, I was only asking out of curiosity as that's the one downside to the BAS system I have on my D3. It heats the coolant very well, but it doesn't allow the glowplugs to energise, so its a pretty lumpy start, kind of defeats the purpose a bit

I experienced the same on my D3 and there is not a great deal you can do as it uses the coolant temp to determine the glowplug strategy and it has no way of knowing that the FBH has just been run.
Still, it smooths out pretty quickly and with warm coolant everything heats up soon enough.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

It does smooth out pretty quickly, but its quite rough for the initial start-up Landrover must have figured out a way round it with the D4 though. Apologies to the OP for going slightly off-topic

firing up the webasto for a good 30mins and start the D3 up, no glowplugg lit up in the Ipac when its cold leads to rough idle for a while. Perhaps there is a way to energize the glow plug somehow via a switch to the relays for it. or use a switch and a resistor on the coolant temp sensor so when you flip the switch, its 30c outside??
Need to have a look @ the wiring diagram to be able to do this tho.
