Canada 2006 LR3 4.4 V8 HSE Auto Chawton WhiteLR3
finally picked up the '06 v8 hse yesterday...

the car is in wicked condition except for a huge scratch on the front headlight, how much would it cost to get a new headlight and this is the hse one

I had a pesky Hilux run in to my (stopped) D3. Amongst other things the headlight case had a very small crack in it. It cost over $2000 for the headlight assembly (Aussie is about the same as Loonies). If I were you, I'd learn how to polish clear plastic.

If you check CFB's posts, he started with something 'orrible like valve grinding paste and worked through many stages to finish with Silvo or jeweller's rouge or something very fine.

There IS a caravan window scratch removing paste which might even be finer still.

Apparently it is very scary at first, creating a larger patch of scratches, which ends up polished as shiny as the original.
