Finally purchased SE
Hi,
I am now the very proud owner of a silver SE ,collected today from Farnell's Bradford.
Apart from one car,(Morgan Plus 8 ) its by far the best vehicle that I have ever driven.
My old faithfull (VW Lupo TDI ) I have given to my wife.
I told her today that i no longer wish to drive the Lupo as I like the Discovery too much.
It was a bit of a shock that having fiiled the tank the computer was saying that I only had 225 miles ,but as I drove home this gradually increased and at the moment the Disco is averaging 30mpg.
I have a long distance trip on Sunday so we will see how we get on, but so far so good

Ah yes....that old syndrome of the pre-delivery-valet-boy caning the customers cars before handing it back over to the sales rep

Posted 3 pics,it had just started to rain.
Going to add superglass tints by Pentagon Glass Tech, had a quote for £350 for all windows. seems reasonable.

Had all my previous cars that didn't have tints done by Pentagon in Reading & yes they are excellent. I get 20% discount as I'm returning customer.
How did you find Farnells, Bradford. Thats where I got my SE last month found their pre delivery inspection of the car was shoddy. They had to replace one of the wheels as it was slightly curbed which they did but where the other 3 had Pirelli tyres fitted, the replacement was fitted with a Goodyear. They also left some paintwork marks which I just thought were dirty fingerprints & would clean off but infact needed some special polishing to get them out. The car was shoddily valeted.
To their credit though the salesman I dealt with was polite & they gave me a cracking deal. Thats why I travelled 200 miles there & back for it. Stealers near me either couldn't or wouldn't come near the deal I got at Farnells

Re Farnells
Hi,
They seemed okay.
Dealt with ABU ,he has only been there 3 months ex Porsche
The SE was very clean on initial demo,so picked up and everything seemed okay.
However, there is def a lack of communication between departments . Mats should have been fitted ,but I had to ask ABU for them, and now I have to fit them myself.
They only had 2 handovers that day .
I dont know what they would be like for service or warranty work.
