First additions to my D3 - Dog Guard and Loadspace Liner

Just easing myself in, while waiting for a load of other goodies to arrive, by fitting the Loadspace Liner and Dog Guard I received today. Both are Britpart, made-for-the-D3 items and both seem very well made and capable of taking some abuse if necessary.

The Liner fitted in fine, but I had to cut out some (marked) holes over the forward lashing rings to fit the dog guard; easy enough.

The Dog Guard fitted fine in itself, but the braces provided to hook into the lashing points and secure the whole thing didn't line up at all; frustrating. However, a quick bit of careful work with a vice and some brute force and I put about a 15 degree bend in them so that they'd both hook through the rings and still present themselves straight where they pass through the little tubes on the guard itself. Fustrating that something supposedly made to measure would need this doing to it, but there you go...

I'll upload a couple of shots to my gallery.

Right - bring on the parking sensors! Smile

At first I couldn't get the knobs on mine more than about 6mm onto the struts, but with liberal application of WD40 and some patience winding them on and off with some pliers, they soon loosened up enough to be used as intended.
