Fitting a battery behind boot side trim

I’ve got the ProSpeed bracket and a yellow top has just arrived.
Next is to figure out how to remove the LHS boot trim. And then mount the bracket.

Has anyone fitted a battery in there, with one of these PS brackets?
Any pics or advice would be very much appreciated before I tear in to it!!

Thanks
Ben

Probably a bit late now, but I fitted an odyssey battery with the prospeed bracket. I made the mistake of shoehorning it through the cubby door and denting the bodywork. I'm sure you don't need telling, but be smarter than me. Remove the trim! Rolling with laughter

Hi Ben, have you got details of the Prospeed bracket? I'm about to do this to my D4.

Plan to take all the kit out the back and remove the panel.
Can I connect it up with the panel back on?
Got any pics of your install please?

Yes, but it's a tight fit. I did the entirety of the install without removing the panel. I'm sure you will do a much neater job than I did if you remove the panel.

Only got this one pic - excuse the mess. I never did get the chance to tidy it up, but it's on the list next time I get to drive the car. The birds nest of wires is the traxide kit that I installed. The ProSpeed bracket uses the same bolts as the removable towbar holder and is a doddle to fit. I found the most challenging part of the install was getting the cable from the battery under the bonnet into the car on the passenger side.

That picture is really helpful,
Thanks.
Did a battery strap come with the bracket? I can’t remember!!

I’ve already run a cable from the engine bay to the rear right cubby and I’ve got the socket panel I transferred over from my D3, so all good.

So just the battery install to sort and getting a cable across to it from the other side of the boot 👍

The strap wasn't supplied with the bracket. The one in he pic is from amazon. It's incorrectly fitted, as it should really run round the battery length ways in relation to the car rather than width ways (there are slots on the bracket for the strap to fit properly). It will be easy for you to fit it correctly with the panel removed. Not sure if it's strictly necessary but I found a strap with rubber around the metal buckle to help stop it slipping / have less exposed metal near the battery terminals.
