Fitting FFRR Wheels - Who's Permission Do I Need?

Dear fellow forum members,

I am about to fit a set of FFRR 19" wheels with MT/Rs to my humble D3 prior to the Kielder event next month.

But before I do - and notwithstanding my error in fitting G4 stickers to my non-G4 vehicle without prior approval - I would like to know....

a) If it is ok to fit Range Rover wheels to my Discovery 3 which is not a Range Rover.

b) If it is ok to fit MT/Rs to my non-G4 vehicle (even though it has a G4 sticker).

c) Who's permission I need to obtain prior to fitting.

Just to be clear, upon fitting my Range Rover wheels I will not be 'pretending' that I am driving the real thing.

Any help in this matter will be greatly appreciated. Thumbs Up

Regards

There are loads of those wheels on eBay, do they need different nuts or do they go straight on?

They do need the smaller nuts but look here:

http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic13860-30.html

It is not sure if it will fit all D3's. It will fit mine.

What's the point of fitting them if you're not going to try to look like a FFRR! Rolling Eyes

WARNING! THE ABOVE IS A TONGUE IN CHEEK COMMENT!

But if you need anyone's permission, then you have mine, I'm sure you'll rest easier at night knowing that you have at least one forum members permission....

I've had my stopwatch going waiting for the inevitable 'tell your insurance' comment, but it's clocked round past zero again...guess it wasn't so inevitable after all! Wink
