Flashers on. Doors unlock. System failure

Hi I'm driving along and the doors will unlock and the flashers will come on radio will go off and after a minute system failure will show on radio . If I turn it off it wont start again and says hdc not available. If I lock it and leave it alone for while it will start but after driving for while it could happen again in few minutes or might for day or two. Has anyone any ideas as to what it could be. It's a 2007 2.7 lr3 automatic

Possibly an alternator failure.

And could be the instrument panel failing. Do a search for the clocks failing and variations of and you will see similar symptoms.

You need to get the old one repaired as its easier, a number of companies do it while you wait or overnight by courier.
If yiu get another one new or old it will need programming

Plenty of discussion (and recommendations) on here recently regarding instrument cluster failure. Search for "Totaltronics" and you'll be off to a good start.

Might also be the BCU starting to fail - apparently it's known to suffer from the same sort of solder joint failures as the instrument cluster thanks to lead-free solder.
