Is the LED replicable or part of a circuit board? How difficult is it to remove the clocks from the dash?

I had exactly this issue on my MY11, dealer replaced the whole unit, out of warranty but LR contributed 66 percent of about 600 quid at the time...

I have the same problem on my MY13...flickering light on needle...

not about to spend lots of money on getting this fixed though, although very irritating. If someone knows an easy fix??

My MY10 had the same issue last month, thankfully it was a used approved car and they replaced the whole instrument cluster under warranty!

Same issue on my MY10, has done it for last 6+ months. Got WD warranty so will try to get them to pay for it at next service Confused
LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

I'm happy to help if anyone's interested:
Land Rover Discovery 4 instrument cluster repair
it is really unbelievable that such modern devices fail in that way and the only solution offered by the manufacturer is to replace the whole thing for £1000+.

Hello,
I have a 2010 D4 Commercial & as the dark nights have started to draw in I have noticed teh rev counter needle has started flickering. Just this 1 not the speedo & all other instrument illumination seems to work fine.

Has anyone else had this problem? If so what is the fix? I consider myself fairly competent to attempt a repair myself as long as its not too technical!!!

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Dave.

Its the little led's failing. It can be fixed by changing those out. they are soldered in place and it does require some level of skill but i have fixed a bunch of them
