Foggy Fogs !
Fitted MY09 bumpers two weeks ago.
Just noticed when I took a pic for my 'grill mod' thread that the fog lights are all milky ?
Very strange as they are brand new, never been waded with, but I have had them on on a few foggy occassions.
The set from my old bumper are absolutly fine despite some deep and muddy wading.
My thought is if I kept them on, then they'd dry out - much to the annoyance of other drivers [me included]
Anyone else have the problem and knows if it'll dissapear ?
btw, weather wise it has been very damp & wet here in North Yorks recently.

Mine did till I found a TOP TIP
"When you purchase a product that comes with a SMALL Bag of Silca crystals, keep them and pop them in the rear of xenons and fogs"
They absorb the damp. Every so often pop them onto the radiator indoor to dry them right out

Hmmm,
Funny that, i,ve just driven from Doncaster to Brecon half the Journey in thick fog ! And half an hour ago i noticed that mine were not only fogged up but scorched with a black hue on the inside, presumeably where the vapour has got a bit hot with the continual use over about two hours ?

could always use a little heater to keep the glass clear, a 12v heater is used in cctv housings for exactly the same reason. works too!
I solved the problem on the D3 front fogs by taking the lamps out, removing the little breather and bulb, thenput them on a warm radiator in the house over night with the glass downwards.
Give the breather a good clean with warm water and a soft brush, then dry it on the radiator
Before reassembly ensure everything has completely cooled off in a cold room in the house; apply a little grease to the o'ring on the breather and the lampholder, the refit.
Did this end of November and not had a problem since.LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Thanks all, some good tips in there.
If they don't de-mist soon, I'll give it a go.
also, a thought - would RainX on the inside lens stop this in future ?I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.
