Four Counties 4x4 (Newbury/Wantage area) |
|
Been meaning to write this for a little while.
There is a new independent opening in Peasemore (between Newbury and Wantage) called Four Counties 4x4. They are still very much in start-up mode but they do have good credentials behind them.
It is being run by two blokes, Mark and Russ. Mark is a Senior Tech at James French with 15+ years working on Land Rovers and does Russ will be doing sales.
Here is the blurb straight from the advert I saw:
"Calling all Land Rover owners -
If you are looking to get your Landrover repaired or serviced, myself (Mark Hayes) and Russ Gordon are currently in the throws of starting up Four Counties 4x4.
Our workshop is based in Peasemore and we are looking for some local business to get us started.
I have 15 years + experience as Senior Tech in the Land Rover industry and Russ will be heading up the sales department and will be starting with a few select Landrovers for sale.
If you need some advice, diagnostics, have any questions or just want a second opinion we would be more than happy to help.
Please share with all your Land Rover friends and family!
We are currently taking weekend bookings.
If would like to make an appointment please contact us on 07979 694996 or 07444 729584
For quotes and pricing please email us on hello@fourcounties4x4.co.uk"
Not wanting to provide a recommendation without having sampled the work myself, they recently replaced the O/S/R Upper arm and both front tie rods. More of a pain (as we all know) rather than being complex, but they did the work quickly and efficiently and had that arm off in no time at all.
Both Mark and Russ are really nice guys and I'll be using them for more work (the work that I don't feel comfortable doing myself) as well in the future.
Here's some contact details:

If you are in the area and need some work doing, give them a call or email to see what you think.
*I'm not affiliated with them. It's not secretly my venture. I've received no compensation for writing this. They did some work and I was happy so thought I'd share*

NJSS, I think it's not uncommon with small businesses, too busy doing the job to answer the phone
but their communication was good on the day and the job they did was very thorough
JDB, I've used them for years but unfortunately fell out earlier in the year due to unexpected charges and IMHO unreasonable practices Mark
