Who has a Foxwing and RV4 tent?
I’m looking to get an awning, as I found we really needed one when out in Wales (for the rain) and the Pyrenees (for the rain and sun) last year. Therefore in preparation for our Wales trip this March, and our Portugal trip in September, I need to get some sort of cover. I really like the Foxwing, as it covers the back of the car as well, as the tailgate becomes our kitchen when in camp.
But how does the RV4 actually attach to the Foxwing? They say it uses a connector, but does this connect from the actual tent, or the tent awning? Also, how do people find this for space? For example, when in a field there’s no issue for space, but in tight campsites which are marked, do these still work OK?
I would like to hear of your experiences before I call Brendan, and place my order.

Hi John,
The Oztent attaches to the Foxwing via an awning connector attached to the porch of the Oztent.
Now if space is limited you can position the Oztent with the porch awning rolled up under the Foxwing . If it is likely to rain ensure both front corners of the Oztent is at least 3" under the Foxwing, otherwise you may get a unpleasant surprise!
When I first saw the Foxwing I was not totally convinced about it, but Barbara was. After using it for a couple of weeks in Scandinavia I am now totally convinced about them. Correctly guyed out we have had them out in 55mph winds!
