Happy trip Mark.

Set up looks decent. Thumbs Up

For the back, been there, done that. I got mine "fixed" with 8 hours of sports therapy massaging and doing exercises daily to strengthen the muscles. I had pulled a lower muscle and was a bawhair off pulling the other one. Sports massages are brutal. Big Cry Shocked

Change of plan. Due to my on going back problems we have decided to do something a little different. We stayed at Bourges last night and today we are staying at Volvic (where the water comes from). We will move tomorrow down to the Montpellier area where we will have a week in the sun on a quietish campsite. It will help my back as I won't have to keep putting roof tent up and down. Unfortunately my back has ruined our original plans, but at least I am away and not working. If I just take it easy I should get through. We have not decided on week three yet as again see how my back is Embarassed

Hi Mark

Just catching up on your trip details.

Sorry to hear about your back - as John C says, sitting is the worst thing, either keep moving or lie flat.

Take anti-inflammatories if you can, as well as the pain killers.

This might help a little - Chelsea 2 - Burnley 3.....!

We are now thinking of going to Gap in the lower alps, has anybody been around that area and can recommend a quiet campsite ?

We are having 3 more days here in Millau as it's lovely. Not too hot (25c) but hot enough for my wife to sunbath and me to potter round and play with things on the car and tent.

We are camped three quarters of the way down on the right.

View from tent.

Codeine, paracetamol and ibuprofen... Sorts my back usually. Just have to remember there's a reason it was hurting and not overdo things 🙂

Camp site looks good.

I'm also sat in 25 degrees... In hospital corridor ☹ ... Giving up on posting pic of aircon display as t'interweb connectivity is too poor.

Wasn't the Milau bridge designed by a British chap? I've driven over it. Very spectacular and in a lovely area.

You are right in both counts Gareth, it is stunning here and

The Millau Viaduct is a cable-stayed bridge that spans the gorge valley of the River Tarn near Millau in southern France. It is the tallest bridge in the world, with one mast's summit at 343.0 metres above the base of the structure.
Construction started: 16 October 2001
Height: 343 m
It was designed by the French structural engineer Michel Virlogeux and British architect Sir Norman Foster.

Arrived in La Rochelle last night after a 7hr drive from Millau. Now down on the beach and all looks well !
There are a lot of boats moored here ( as you can see in the background)
