Front Diff Noise

Hello all,
I am hoping someone can shed light on the following,
if I move forward up an incline at speeds up to 30 mph I hear what sounds to be loud bearing noise from the front diff, if I travel at 30 mph on flat roads I can hear again a what appears to be bearing noise but no where near as loud when going up hill, on the motorway (60-70 mph) its very quiet,
I replaced the front wheel bearings with Timken units, hoping this would resolve the problem.

any thoughts would be appreciated

Welcome to the dark art, of working out what noise is that on a d3?

The front diff is not that hard to remove, split, and check.

I thought my front diff was stuffed and it turned out to be transfer case!!!!

I was getting a drone from the my D3 & I couldn't hear where it was coming from . My indi. put it on the ramp with the wheels free to rotate and ran it up, and it was soon evident it was the front diff., you could feel it, putting your hand on the case.
