You can give it a bash back on, but it will probably come away again. It's better to replace the clips altogether, they are quite cheap, only pennies each.As you slide down the banister of life

They might be pennies over there but dealer wants an arm and a leg ($65 for 10). Had the same thing happened to me. Got a service guy to give me a handful and I replaced and the trim hasn't fallen off. Thumbs up!16 D4 Landmark

Yeh, I tried to put it back on and bang it on, some of them stuck, some didnt. What a pain.
65$ for 10 - WOW. What a rip off.
How much are they there in UK ?
I will speak to Land Rover here but as they always say, "bring it to us and we will look" and I am a long way from the dealership . Problem is that they never want to say anything over the phone, always "come and show us"... Its pretty annoying here in Spain in that way.
Why don't you ask our lovely Nick if he can post them to you? (PM The Large One)
If it's not going to hold, take the trim off and keep it in the boot until you do get clips...As you slide down the banister of life

Yeh, thanks... Might try getting them mailed over.
Just going to try the LR dealer once, see if they have them in stock and how much, does anyone know the part number ? SO that I can reduce all pain of trying to explain what I want and just dish a number to them ?
Cheers......
PS - Yeh, left it totally off at the moment... it wasn´t secure so best be safe !....

Part no in the UK is DYC101420 Clip - Front Door. 14off for a front door on a D3 I think. About 70p each when I bought some for my RRS.

Here is what you need, stamp on the white part says TRW #36 so I googled TRW and came up with www.trw.com they make the clips. Yellow part sinks into door, white part attaches to trim and you merge. Word to the wise, dealer told me that when they replace these they usually just push the yellow part into the door frame instead of trying to pry it out. Dealer also told me that it's possible that these pieces could roll around in the door frame and cause unwanted rattles, so try to get under the lip and pull the yellow piece out from the door Also, I was quoted $65 US for 14 clips.

Anyone know this part # below? Seems like many of them are broken in my D3. FYI, for those of you thave have annoying rear / boot rattles - the side cubby pieces - check these clips out. I found a few that were broken and I replaced them it reduced the noise by 50%

Don't know the answer to what other pieces they are on, once merged they hold tight. Dealer also told me that they won't last if they've been pulled in and out, guess they lose their holding strength. But, I've got 3 new ones holding on my door piece been 30 days and no problems 16 D4 Landmark

They are used on all the exterior trim pieces.
I pull mine off and on all the time for the last 4 years and have only needed to replace a couple here and there so they do last fairly well.
When I do replace one I do my best to get the yellow part out of the door/fender.
