Front fog light fitting and activating

Just about to upgrade the front / rear bumpers and wheel arches to colour coded ones.

The front bumper I'm about to fit has fog lights fitted, where my current one doesn't, and I'm a little concerned.
I've read somewhere that all the wiring is there so plug in is no issue, and to swap the switch is no major problem. However am I right in saying that the ECU has to be re-programmed by the Dealer to make this installation final?

Also had the engine re-mapped and if the re-programme this would it revert to the original settings?

Amy assistance would be appreciated

Begards

Hi Bob

Welcome first off Thumbs Up

I retro fitted fogs to my bumper with no problem at all - once the switch was in I had light!

Not sure about the remap, someone will be along to help no doubt.

The re-map should be Ok as you don't need the dealer to activate the Fog lamps, just the wiring loom, lights and a replacement headlamp switch.

However, if a dealer ever does a full ECU update for anything else then you would probably loose the remap and have to have the tune re-applied. Depending on who did the tune; reapplying it might be Free of Charge, or not, you'll have to ask the people that did yours.
LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.
