Front passenger door lock - repacement ? warranty

I have a problem with the front passenger door which does not seem to be unlocking when either the key fob is pressed or the unlock is pressed on the inside drivers door panel.

All other doors appear to be working ok

The door can be opened ok from the inside with the issue appearing to be the lock part of the latch not opening out when unlocking the car

I do have a Warranty Direct policy and wondered whether it is worth claiming this on the policy given I have a £50 excess.

I have had two other latches replaced on the car under LR warranty but do not know how much a new latch fitted will cost.

Any indication would be appreciated also if anyone has a fix would be glad to hear this too

do a search for door actuator - common problem easily fixed on the drive Thumbs Up Stolen - D4 Loire Blue

Even easier fixed with a WD policy. Its about £200 job with my local indy so well worth using the WD policy for. I had 4 covered now!

All now fixed
Local Indy quoted £237 for the job and work done under WD with cost to me being the £50 excess
