Front PDC, how is it switched?
Our front PDC is a bit intermittent. I have found that when parking if the front PDC button light is not on if I give the gear selector (auto) a wiggle the pdc comes on.
Is it a simple case that there is a switch for the pdc down there somewhere? or any other ideas?
Hi,
to switch it on, just brake the car until it completely stops for a while and it's done! I think that there is no other trick...

you have a front pdc light? I'm under the impression ALL pdc is switched by the button on the dash!

DVD105 introduced a new function to change the strategy of the front parking sensors on 05 and 06MY Discovery 3/LR3 and Range Rover Sport vehicles which have the later Park Aid Module fitted.
The routine does not apply to 07MY vehicles.
The front parking sensor strategy can be selected to one of the following two strategies:
1. Front parking sensors will operate when a forward gear is selected after selecting reverse. Sensor operation is cancelled when the vehicle speed is above 10mph (16kph) but will operate again if the speed drops below 10mph (16kph)
2. Front parking sensors will be cancelled when the vehicle speed is above 10mph (16kph) and will NOT operate again until the vehicle speed is below 10mph (16kph) and the fascia front parking aid switch is selected (or until a forward gear is selected following reverse gear selection during parking)
To change the strategy, follow the procedure below:
Select "Vehicle Configuration"
Select "Set-up and Configuration"
Select "Parking Assist Control Module"
Select "Front Parking sensors / Auto-on / activation" and follow the on screen prompts.
If IDS reports the routine has failed and instructs to replace the module please ensure the ignition prompts are followed and run the routine again.
