Front Windscreen, how long to defrost?
the front screen on mine doesn't seem to work particularly quickly compared with the one on my previous Disco, a D2, to the extent that the lower part of the screen defrosts from the hot air ~2mins before the rest. Anybody give me a clue to what's the (realistic) defrost time?and theeeeennn......???

It was only the bottom passenger side that was frozen on mine this morning - took about 2 minutes too to reduce it to water dropletsSteve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

Its not instant, its about the same as my old D2. The hot air blast does start to de-ice the lower screen before the elements kick in. The thing is, the elements clear the whole screen at once.

Mine took well over ten minutes before screen was clear this morning. Looking at the defrost pattern I'd say it didn't work. It was -6 but shouldn't have made a difference. Oh and my mirrors which are supposed to be heated don't work.

mine seems to take ages compared to our bmw and the near side clears first every time, cheers shawnbali blue disco 4 with rear dvd's, privacy glass, pre heat system, heated steering wheel, full size spare, piano black trim, ipod cable, 20 inch wheels and i love it loads more than my TDV8 RRS, KTM 250 EXC 2 Stroke for the real off road stuff
