My filler cap fell apart when removing it yesterday. Luckily I think all the bits got stuck in the filler neck and were acounted for. Can anyone say how many bits I should have ?
I managed to press back together the main body of the cap, a metal spring, a small plastic piece which looks to form an air vent seal and a larger circular plastic piece which holds everything together.
Hope that is everything, else something will be rattling about in the botton of the tank.

the cap shouldn't come apart 
i would get a replacement soon as if it fails again you could be prevented from filling the tank or worse something could enter the filler TLO has left the building.......
