Fuel guage and screen washer electrics

At 190000km my fuel guage has become intermittantly unreliable. I have read bits on this site about other who have had the same. How successful have your repairs been?

ALSO My front and rear screen washer pump is taking out the fuse all the time. New pump? ... or faulty wiring? (headlight washers pump still working).

Thanks in advance. Near enough 40 degrees South!!!

re the fuel gauge - mine was the wiring rubbing against the chassis that caused an intermittent break.
cabling re-routed and repaired as is fine now

Thanks Taz... where was the wiring rub again? If we know where to look it might save a couple of $$. Cheers R Near enough 40 degrees South!!!
