properly made bio is better and will return better performance than dino diesel. It wont 'dry' your seals or make the car spontaneously combust etc...
Bio has gad a lot of bad press due to the low quality 'home brewers' who leave methanol in the mix which does cause damage.

Perhaps as a precaution against buying inferior diesel by chance when travelling around we should consider always using an additive such as Redex. Anyone know what others are available, and whether they are any good?
I don't for a moment think we can use the pump price as an indication of quality. The cheapest priced product could be the one that is kindest to pumps and seals.
Anybody work for Trading Standards or have access to the folk who test garages fuel? A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Stay Alive - KEEP AWAY FROM PEOPLE.

I used to run a 300tdi on veg oil from tesco, mixed with ordinary diesel
Ran like a dream, but always shied away from doing the same in the D3.
Anyone out there tried this?
Cant see that it would have a detrimental effect on seals but wold be a in the cold (hence the mix with ordinary diesel)
