Fuel tank

Had a go a going up a concrete slope the other day and as a result I've damaged what I think is the fuel tank just in front of the rear wheel on the drivers side. Don't know what caused it to catch as the slop wasn't overlly steep a only a couple of metres long. By the looks of it the tank is one of the lowest parts of the underside. I think some sort of guard is needed to protect it from further damage now, can't believe it hasn't leaked and it was full.

Don't panick the car already has a tank guard. This is what you can see. There may be a case for a more substantial guard for serious off road use. From what you say, the guard did its job.
