There's bound to be a 'Limited Edition' model out at some point in the future, no rumours yet of when AFAIK. Ex-Event vehicles may also come up for sale like they did after the 2003 G4, but seeing as it doesn't start until the 23rd that's not going to be soon

The G4 D2s had a rubbery interior, an A bar and G4 sticker doesn't really meet G4 spec does it. If he is sensible he will just buy the ggodies and add them onto an existing D3 ala Slimer and TFC

Keep watching the LR website as they will start to take "expressions of interest" inquiries not long after the start of the G4 if the last one was anything to go by.
You should be aware though that if you buy an ex G4 car, LR will have stripped all the useful bits off it before they sell it on to you, so you pay more for a low spec hammered car! I expressed an interest in the G4 Rangie during the last event and when the spec came through the cars were basically the same as the special editions that were sold through the showrooms with no underside protection, no winch, no special comms or satnav, infact the only bits that were left on were the expedition roof rack, the rear ladder, the raised intake and the Tangier Orange paint Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

Also, LR messed about with the last batch of ex-G4 vehicles - I was down on their "interest" list for a 110 right from the start and never heard, despite many chase-up e-mails Sad
