Gaining access to remove expansion tank |
|
Evening guys.
Was wondering if anyone has done a guide on how to gain access/remove the disco 3
expansion tank.
The reason i ask is TFC fitted a replacement tank and yet, i appear to have a leak
Need to gain access to see where it is leaking from. When TFC fitted it, he pulled off the front grill and nearside headlight unit. Thing is, i can't remeber how he gained access, managed to remove.
Any help, preferably pics to assist, would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again

Do you mean the expansion tank or the windscreen washer reservoir? The first is readily accessible in the engine bay, the second is tucked in behind the n/s/f guard.
However, in either case, email 10forCash as I am sure that he will warrant his work.
Best Wishes,
Peter

The grill is help in place by 4 clips along the top and 2 near the bottm. Push them all down and the grill will come off.
Headlight is secured using 2 clips at either side, and need slid upwards to remove. Can be quite tight sometimes and need a bit of persuasion from a screwdriver/lever etc. With them out the way, you should be able to see where it is now leaking My D3 Build Thread
