Gap iid BT activation

Just purchased a gap iid BT G3 off the main website. I’m really struggling to find the activation code for the device.

I have registered and downloaded application to update the device firmware but still need to activate before hand.

I’ve followed the site advice:

- connecting the device to the car and waiting until instrument display reads ‘ready’.

But not sure where the ‘unlock screen’ is…

Any advice would be appreciated.

I am using my iPhone and have the app downloaded.

I have managed to update the iiD firmware.

I have registered my account, but the web site still suggests I need an activation code….

I’ve just registered mine - on the left press the unlock button and it will bring up a code. Email that code to gapteam@gap-diagnostic.com and they will send you an unlock code.if it’s 2nd hand hopeefully the previous owner has let them know that he sold it so they deregistered it.
