Quote:Nuvi 660 (European Spec) is excellent
Blimey! Just checked the specs and it does everything but empty the dishwasher for you. Looks like I'll be trading up from my Garmin Quest in the New Year... No longer a D3 owner but still subscribed to multiple threads!

Can you enter in GPS coordinates? Most road-centric units won't allow anything other than street addresses.
Though the graphics are archaic, the Garmin Quest 2 is about the best I've seen for turn by turn street oriented stuff, as well as go anywhere take me off the beaten path ability. Also has built in Litho battery so can unplug and finish the route on foot (good for GPS challenge competitions).
Mind you, I don't have any GPS unit yet. The one I want does not seem to exist. I want internet connectivity via cell and WiFi, real time traffic updates based on my location & destination, awesome Mac-like graphics, turn by turn, with predictive lane indicators, PC connectivitiy for topo map uploads, fully charted in advance, and the ability to input multiple GPS coords on the fly.
Find one of those, and I'd be happy.
Basically, I want one like my Nissan Armada's built in unit, but with Internet connectivity and the ability to tap in GPS coords.

I have one and used it on an R.V. touring holiday in Colorado/Utah/Arizona/New Mexico this summer. It was superb, but not as good as the scenery!
Have also used it in Belgium and France as well as here in the UK and can honestly say that it hasn't mis-directed me once.
The best bit though is how the computer generated voice pronounces some of the street/town names. Back in the game!
