| Gearbox not going in park... |

Hi there
For 2 weeks now if I stop and put the D3 in park it is as though it doesa not go in 1st time... key won't eject and then I just push lever more forward and the light (P) goes out and key released...
Is this a known problem ?? if so what is it ??

PS- my motorplan is finished in 7 months / 7000 km so 'i need to sort out all I can before then ... Luckily the Holidays will be spent in the VW T5 else the 7000km will be gone at the end of December... Nico

Can also be a problem with brake light bulb shorting to the rear light filament, it caused it to happen on my car not long ago. When you first looked the bulb was working, but the filaments were just touching causing a short. This meant the interlock on the gearbox wasn't working correctly so I couldn't remove the key. Later I got more faults coming up

I've read that brake light short can case problems just weird this elctronics  Nico

Have you replaced diffs, shock absorbers, front suspension bushes and had gearbox flushed and re-calibrated  Erstwhile - D3 S '07. Dual battery system. Upgraded tow hitch. Mantec skid plate. Frontrunner rr. Tmax double headed built in compressor

Just leave the key in the ignition - you'll not have to worry about diffs or motorplan
