GENERAL GRABBER UHP suitable ?

I need to replace the Tyres on my TDV6s - I have standard LR 18" wheels. My D3 is used mainly on the road however I do tow a horsebox and so it goes into fields etc every other weekend + plus the odd skiing holiday.

I like the look of the GENERAL GRABBER UHP and the price is certainly more attractive than some of the other options - but are they any good for my requirements and is the wear good ?

Secondly I've seen lots of posts about the tyre size to get so can one of you more technically mined chaps please let me know what tyre size / dimension / rating etc is best for my 18" wheels

Thanks

Grabber UHP's are a good road tyre, and a few on here are using the 20"'s in this make.

For your 18's, you should be on 255/60x18, 112H or V rating (111 minimum)

I've got the Michelin Latitude Tours on mine. Awesome road tyre - very smooth - they grip like glue to the greasy single track roads near where we live, and they're nice and strong, so pulling off the road won't ruin them. They don't look chunky at all, but I was amazed how easily they pulled a big twin axle trailer full of logs off a boggy field last weekend! Incredible - that will be the electronics! If I was doing that sort of thing more often, I'd probably want something chunkier, just to be on the safe side! It was either the Latitudes for me or the Vredstein Wintracs - which were much cheaper, but chunkier and may better on trips to the Alps that I do a couple of times a year, as they're more of a winter tyre.

Thanks, I don't really want to get into the wheel swapping thing so I think the Grabbers still seem a good all round bet - anyone suggest a good place to get them from ?

Grabber UHT

Any idea of pricing on the UHT compared to the AT?

How do the UHPs perform for the occasional bit of 'froadin'?

Searching around the Internet the UHP seems to around the £130 mark per tyre and the AT2 only a few quid behind
