strange noise from front drivetrain

Since a week I have a strange noise coming from the drivetrain from my '06 D3 tdv6 with 185k km on the clock.
It's a turbine like noise that changes pitch with the speed.
From start up it starts after max 100m.
Best audible between 30 - 60kmh otherwise it tends to be to low or high in pitch and increasing roadnoise
Taking roundabounds or 90 deg. turn for cornering it stops for a moment after the turn.
Swinging the steering sligtly left right on the straight it does not stop the sound.
On throttle or on idle (load or no load on drivetrain) same soundpitch matching with speed.
No metal scratching or whining noises.
No vibrations in steering.

The sound is sort of a low pressure turrbine/compressor.

Could it be a resonance from some shielding, oil level diff or a start of a worn bearing?
Any ideas what it can be ?
