Mmmm no proud of it indead
in fact, the bottle jack is not the one stupid here. Maybe I had to many bottles of Jack ... I should have put it on low first gear, or put something more solid behing wheels.

No need to remove the tires as you can get at them in extended mode,
in fairness the johnsons will take longer, but mine are of a different design
with two top hole positions and only need to pop off the top to change
the position with one hand. They stay in place where as the Johnsons
need to be removed completely and the STD rods refitted. D3 bullbar-spots-roof rack with spots-ladder-long range tank-swing out spare wheel carrier- upgraded tow bar-dash console-internal water tank-duel awnings-drawer system & T T.

Ok. But I wanted to put my bigger tires on. This is why I put Johson Rods.
Where did you get those two-position rods? I am interested.
My fear is to break the plastic part where the rod connects. Your rods seem interesting in the sens you can only remove the part which is connected to the "solid" part on the car. My fifth Disco ...

Designed and self made, basicly took the best properties of rods
showen on this forum and did my own adjustable version. Made
from 3CR12 stainless steel with rubber grommets to suit, I do have
some extra sets from a batch I had profile cut, if interested PM me
an E-mail address, as I do not want to run foul of any forum rules

I think I would rather use the Llams system that way there is no permanent lift and at the push of a button you can have whatever height you want.
