Hi Folks.
Took delivery today of new V8 SE, Vienna Green, Ebony leather. Delivery itself took about three hours. Impressive effort from Land Rover Sandton, JHB, who also did what I thought was good deal.
I have been reading posts for months. So I knew to get wise over alignment. Supervised it myself. Sure enough, each wheel substantially out, and rectified.
A lovely car. First note. Underside of bonnet not glazed - how much extra would this have cost? Would have been so much easier to clean. Switched off vehicle in garage and message centre glowing with Land Rover badge, green screen on radio too. Hope both will switch off later. Obvious rattle in boot area - should be easy to find. Rubber strap holding jack - even dealer pulled it out of socket twice before succeeding. Poor design.
Fully intend to read everything in manuals, but wow - digital video cameras, digital still cameras, digital D3s and the rest. How do we find time to read it all?
Will post what happens to me south of the Limpopo.
Thanks again for the site. An invaluable resource for all of us. Must look at it from the bright side...

uh oh. Just check you can get in to the car manually. In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

I would love to see some pictures. Still not seen a Vienna green D3. Any chance of putting some on your gallery?
Thanks,
Ray
