Our Waitrose was complete nuts today. Christmas is amateur season... 55-Reg Java Black SE, Unlocked SatNav (via Wiggs and Bodsy), Nudge Bar/Driving Lamps/RAI, Front & Rear Lamp Guards, RLD Sump Plate, RLD spare wheel protector

I wouldn't worry about parking, I would worry about the other 10,000 shoppers at the supermarket. Apparently loads of people didn't go out yesterday and are making up for it today.
We booked a Ocado delivery weeks ago, which has just been delivered.
Good luck Rich, I went to Sainsburys early this morning after dropping the D3 at Guy Salmon Maidstone for MOT. Wasn't too bad when I arrived but parking rage was in full swing as I left. There were reduced parking spaces as someone had cleared the snow and left piles of the stuff in bays everywhere The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us yet.

Well I say worried ...I'm not worried about parking really I'll just use one of the 100 or so mother and baby \ disabled spaces that tend to remain empty this time of night (or most of the time in the case of disabled spaces)
As for walking around the store I think I'll feign some leg deformity and rent one of those chariots (don't fret I'll use the indicators )
Yippee ...shopping woes solved ...thanks for the inspiration guys 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Our Waitrose was more sedate than previous years, tho only just.
It was however tainted by a handful of snotty bints in dire need of a lesson in manners. Whilst waiting in the queue (for my extra large bronze turkey ), one of these ignoramouses barged between me and the 70 year old in front of me, using the trolley as a wedge to get through. Not a single word. Then whilst her 'friend' tried to insert herself at the front of the queue, she tried again to barge through on the way back except this time i stuck my foot out and put all my weight on it, which annoyed the socks off her as she couldn't go either way After 45 seconds of ramming her trolley into my feet (I'd moved the other one in now) she finally had to acknowledge my existence, at which time she finally made eye contact, and said a very huffy excuse me. I smiled, and said I hoped her application to the Millwall bushwackers was successful, and moved aside, and she flounced off, barging trolleys out of the way as she went. Silly Dr. Ian Malcolm:
"Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should."

That's why we have it delivered, I can't face the shops. The only other place we go to is the local farm and buy direct. A lot of people won't go there as it is not all wrapped in plastic with a sell by date and has no instructions on how to cook it.
Seriously a lot of farms are selling produce they grow themselves direct to the public and it tastes fantastic.

Morrisons at 8AM this morning for the annual Christmas 'BIG' shop - and as usual never enough people on the tills
Oh yes - one of the positive side effects of the snow is that noone can see the parking bays so everyone parks a sensible distance => no door dings
What happens in our house now is that a 'things we forgot' list builds up - I fully expect to be back there three times more tomorrow for bits 'n' bobs Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)
