Car has been back a week, and on checking tyre pressure today,I discovered this, which led to the above question Whistle

I even quietly switched on the 'reverse dip' mirrors function before it went Sad
So has anyone had that sort of chunk repaired or can it even be done ?

Yeah,I think the off-road set may be going on the next time she takes the car for any length of time.
Adam yes, she's done worse as well Rolling Eyes I was just wondering,as I've only ever had damage to the face of an alloy before,if a chunk round the rim like that can be repaired to a reasonable standard ? Thumbs Up

I would think that a decent alloy specialist will be able to get that back looking new no problem.

Certainly seen worse repaired flawlessly.

I'd agree - a decent wheel refurb place will sort that. Might struggle to get a good finish match though.... Neutral

If you want a recommendation - TWS in Cumbernauld did all of my wheels (not the Disco, but 19's) in their Chrimbo sale for £280 - and that was for a fancy "smoked chrome" finish. (Powder coat black, silver spray "face on" only (which leaves insides of spokes black), clear powder finish coat. The look changes depending on the viewing angle & light. Spotless too.

The HSE wheels I got refurbished had loads of those marks on them.

Easily fixed for someone who knows how to do it.
